Please describe the interview process and assessments.
The interview included submitting the application, conducting a competence assessment, then a pre-recorded video interview, then a final live Teams interview.
Graduate, Sydney - 12 Sep 2024
The first step was submitting cover letters, CVs and doing a personality test. After that was a one way interview where you had 30 seconds to prepare your answer and 30 seconds to answer. Then two Zoom interviews. The process was done early in the year which was good and we found out if we were accepted within a reasonable time.
Graduate, Auckland - 09 Sep 2024
The interview process was extensive, but that's not a bad thing. I had to apply online, then went through GIA assessments, a one-way online interview, and two face-to-face interviews with managers.

For the graduate role, the required section to input each individual subject code, subject name, score etc was quite frustrating and time-consuming when we had to attach our transcript anyway

Online Assessment, Video Interview, First Round Interview, Final Interview, and referee checks
Graduate, Sydney - 21 Mar 2023
I submitted a resume and cover letter to their website, and I was contacted by phone to complete an online video assessment, a psychometric test and 2 rounds of interviews over Microsoft Teams. I was then asked to provide reference checks and made an offer soon after.
Graduate, Brisbane - 04 Feb 2022
There was a General Intelligence Assessment, followed by A Psychometric test, a video interview, and then two face-to-face interviews.

What questions were you asked in your interviews?
- What would you usually do in your spare time? - What is one skill that you have recently learnt? - Sell me this pen
Graduate, Sydney - 12 Sep 2024
They were more personality and previous work based questioned. Things like "tell me a time where you failed", "what are you proudest about", "where do you see yourself in 5 years" etc
Graduate, Auckland - 09 Sep 2024
I was asked about my experience and specific questions on how I would apply that experience to different situations.

Motivation, Background, Experiences, and Passions
Graduate, Sydney - 21 Mar 2023
It was quite some time ago so I don't remember exactly, but something along the lines of why I was interested in HR, what my career aspirations were, what I did outside of work, what I wanted to get out of this role. There were also some situational questions, eg. if you found yourself in this particular situation, what would you.

An accomplishment A mistake and what you learnt from it A project you worked on

Do you have any specific tips and advice for candidates applying to your company? How would you recommend they best prepare?
- Be authentic - Try to relate your strengths to what the company is looking for in an employee - Prepare scenarios and examples to help justify any questions they may have
Graduate, Sydney - 12 Sep 2024
Research the business and the interviewers. It is easy to memorize answers to soft skill questions that you would be asked in any interview, but it shows a far more commitment and preparation knowing about what the company does, and the interviewers do.
Graduate, Auckland - 09 Sep 2024
I would recommend attempting a few trial GIA tests for the GIA section. For the one-way interviews, you will have 30 seconds before answering the questions, so it's best to write brief notes during those 30 seconds to guide you when answering the questions. For the face-to-face interviews, be authentic and share stories when answering questions about how you would handle given situations. Also, it doesn't hurt to show an interest in the person interviewing you and ask a curious question about them at the end.
Graduate, Sydney - 03 Sep 2024
Answer the questions throughout the process honestly. Practice interview questions prior to the interview to ensure you are well prepared.
Midlevel, Brisbane - 27 Mar 2023
Just be yourself! You dont need to know everything about the company, as long as you have a genuine passion for the role.
Graduate, Sydney - 21 Mar 2023
Definitely do some research around the company and what they do. There are many business units which can get confusing and the wholesale distribution industry isn't something that everyone is familiar with. Being your genuine self in interviews is always great as hiring managers are very down to earth.

Research the company well, look for common interview questions and prepare for them, and enjoy yourself, the interview works best when you are talking comfortably.
