Cenitex supports a modern, agile and productive public sector, and is driven by the Government’s commitment to a digital Victoria and better outcomes for the community.

Cenitex provides reliable and contemporary shared Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services, enabling departments, agencies and over 46,000 public servants to deliver services for all Victorians.

Created as a state-owned enterprise in July 2008, Cenitex delivers essential ICT services to the Victorian Government, such as identity and network management, security, user workspace and cloud services efficiently and cost-effectively.

Cenitex works closely with its customers to understand business needs and adopt more agile and collaborative methods of working.

Cenitex has developed services and technology roadmaps which are pivotal to refreshing critical assets and meeting customer needs. Cenitex technology roadmaps take advantage of the next generation of technologies offered by industry and deliver the increased resilience and reliability customers expect.

Cenitex sits in the portfolio of the Department of Premier and Cabinet reporting to the Minister for Government Services.

Having ﬂexibility with only two days required in the oﬃce. Very good workplace culture, people are polite. No forced overtime, decent workload. Freedom to take leave when needed and not made to feel bad about it. Good employee value proposition with Flare beneﬁts. The best thing about working at Cenitex is the company values. In my ﬁve months within the company, I felt like I could count on my team members and other people within the organisation. The worst thing about Cenitex is getting confused by the departments. I have never work within the government or knew much about the diﬀerent departments within Victoria before so having customers within a government body was a big change as each department has diﬀerent services that we provide.
Lack of technical capabilities in application development.
Rotation program is not helpful if you know what you want to do. The compensation may not match the value you bring to the company.
Starting salary (little low)
It takes time to get familiar with all the systems used in different teams. You also need time to understand the organisation structure as one process may involve a few teams at the same time.
