Your role

Daimler Truck and Bus is looking for a dynamic and innovative university student to join the team as an IBL Network Development / Training Academy Assistant.

Within this Network Development / Training Academy Assistant role, you will have an opportunity to immerse yourself in supporting the dealers and assisting in coordinating the Daimler Truck Training Academy and the Network Development team. They are responsible for supporting the industry-leading Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner and Fuso products and dealers. Your role will include working with dealer requests, being a key contact for the Daimler Truck New Hire Induction Program, maintaining databases and providing support to the Dealer Network. You have the opportunity to learn and contribute to Daimler Truck training days, coordinating sessions, liaising with external providers, and assisting with dealer outreach activities.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with dealer requests for Network Development and Training areas of responsibility
  • Assist with course schedules, trainer requests, network requests and day-to-day course management
  • Support the Dealer Administrators as they manage dealer staff changes and access requests
  • Support the Dealer Learning Coordinators as they manage learning and development pathways for their dealer teams
  • Coordinate the logistics involved in delivering training, including catering companies
  • Act as one of the key contacts between Daimler Truck internal and dealer participants in the new hire induction process, including on-boarding, preparation of welcome letter, printing out materials and sending out necessary paperwork
  • Provide support to the team in generating reports

About you

They are looking for innovative and highly driven students with a strong desire to help shape the fast-growing global business. The IBL program commences mid-January 2025 and you will need to commit to full-time office hours until the end of January 2026.

To qualify for this program:

  • You must be an undergraduate student currently completing your penultimate year of study.
  • As of January 2025, you must have the remaining 12 months or 2 semesters of study to complete your degree.
  • Ideally, you are studying Business Management or a similar degree.

  • You will apply your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build positive business relationships and bring out-of-the-box thinking along with a genuine passion for building solutions within the industry.
  • You will enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Above all, as you will be working in a small team, you will be team-oriented and have a flexible and adaptable attitude to the changing needs of the business.
  • Your keen eye for detail will ensure accuracy in the work you produce, and enable you to develop or document new processes and initiatives.
  • A strong interest in immersing yourself in this role will lead you to achieve greater insights into this business unit, and the Truck industry as a whole as you begin your career in Business Management.
