7.30 AM
I tried to wake up earlier but snoozed my earlier alarms. Managed to get ready before the 8:10 bus goes by. Today there’s a team meeting so I want to get to the office a bit earlier than usual.
8.30 AM
Made my way to my desk to leave my stuff and check my slides before the team meeting. Before heading to the meeting room, I made a quick coffee in the kitchen.
9.00 AM
The team is all together – most in person and some virtually. We have a team meeting every Wednesday morning to go over what everyone has worked on for the past week and what things are upcoming. It’s a good chance to get awareness on what everyone is focusing on and offer help or ask for help if needed.
10.30 AM
After the team meeting, I booked a room so I can work on and practice my upcoming presentation to a client. Practicing speaking out loud really helps me.
This presentation was for a customer wanting to see how the different field applications we offer can help their workflows. For this we built demonstrations and put a presentation together with the account manager to give an overview of the different options and how they fit together.
12.00 PM
Time to have lunch and catch up with my workmates in the kitchen. Today I had rice risotto and steak leftovers from last night’s dinner. Feeling prepared for my meeting with the client after lunch.
2.30 PM
Meeting with client went great. It was cool hearing about their specific use case. After the meeting I write out a report and debrief notes detailing what went well, what could be improved and if there were any gaps in our solution.
3.00 PM
For the rest of the afternoon, I look into my next client meeting and start brainstorming a solution for them – this is when I get to play around with the tools and figure out a way to make their workflows better and more efficient using ArcGIS. This next one is about managing assets and facilities. I also plan a webinar I’m hosting next month on ArcGIS Hub – a site making application.
4.30 PM
I quickly catch up with one of the senior members of my team to see if I’m on the right track with the solution, we also talked about running a training session tomorrow for the rest of the team so I will add that to the list of things to do.
Before logging off, I review the things I got done today and write down goals for tomorrow.
5.05 PM
I like to walk as much as I can to unwind after work before catching the bus home.
6.30 PM
I wait for my flatmate to get home so we can go for a run and a swim at the nearby beach.
8 PM
The run and swim feel so good but also take it out of me. So, after that I take a hot shower and get ready to watch TV and eat dinner.
9.30 PM
Usually go to bed around this time but don’t sleep until I get my screentime up a little bit and prepare to do it all again tomorrow.
