Asked to come in to the office at a certain time wearing smart-business clothing, sat down with two individuals who turned out to be my future bosses and were very friendly and welcoming.

I joined via the graduate program, which consisted of. Sending my resume. An offline video questionnaire. Coding Challenge. Assessment Day. Interview The first three were fairly standard, the assessment day was interesting we were given a task of improving the Empired website as a group and then a short speech on our findings to the group. I liked how it actually involved the real Empired website and could see it being something you work on at the company.

7 steps. Good codeing challenge, group and one on one interview.

The interview process was seamless. I had two one-on-one interviews with three great managers (Lucia Gamarra, Michelle Mancini & Erik van Hoof) that lead me to my current role.

Interview was good and straight forward. It felt relaxed and friendly.

Pretty standard, Personal, Passions, STAR, as well as basic programming questions

What experience I had with certain tools/languages, such as C# and SQL, as well as personal questions such as hobbies.

General soft skill questions along with describing my final project at University, I drew up a high level system diagram and talked through it. Was also asked what my favorite class was at uni and why that was the case. The interview went fairly well, so the last portion of the interview was me asking about what type of projects I could expect to be put on if I joined now.

I was asked about my future career prospects (where I'd see myself in 5 years), ethical/moral questions (if I witness a Sales Executive lying about a certain feature in a product) and previous experiences with customers.

Asked not just technical questions but also related to hobbies/interests which were technology-related. I remember I had a great conversation about video games in the interview!

Prepare like you would for other interviews, be ready for a variety of questions, know your resume. Be honest, be ready to justify your answers and give reason - show *why* you give the answers you do.

Make it clear that you're a human being and not just a number on a spreadsheet - we want people not drones. Also, make sure you play well with others and know a thing or two about technical support as well as development.

Make sure your ability to describe yourself and things you've worked on is good. I don't think they press you much on the technical side but more the soft skill side.

Be confident, making a few bad calls is better than not marking any noise

Best method of preparing would be to ask current employees about their roles and responsibilities. They would then be able to visualize themselves in their shoes and are able to tailor the questions asked (to the employer). When making my personal choice to choose Empired, this is what I personally did.

Prepare by reading up about various Microsoft offerings including relatively new ones like WVD and cybersecurity offerings. Have a good idea about what the company does and what sort of solutions they offer to clients.
