Generally perform well and get good feedback from the client and you'll move up the ranks. Graduate -> Associate seems automatic with it happening earlier depending on performance. Associate -> Consultant requires around 3years experience. From there to senior is different however requires a lot more stringent requirements.

Very comfortable to work, can reach out to superiors without hesitating, most people are ready to help when asked. After hour culture is great too - most of us sit around and talk on Friday evenings, social events are organised, Friday dinner with friends from the company.

Very open and inclusive. As a POC, I feel like I can say this with authority as I felt very welcome and comfortable. Never been made to feel different. What's great is that everyone insists on calling me by my actual name and not a shortened, easier version of it even if I say it's ok for them to call me by my nickname. I've noticed that almost everyone with a seemingly difficult name are called by that name and not by shortened nicknames.

Standup figure out any tasks and blockers and get to work, typical software dev responsibilities. Constantly learning something new, if I'm stuck there are seniors that I can reach out to.

My manager has been fantastic so far, genuine and understanding. Able to provide mentorship and insight from their own expertise, both technically and in more of a project management/client relations sense. Engages in regular communication without impacting my independence in my work.

Office location is great, internal space is appropriate for the number of employees. No strict dress code - can be as casual or formal as you want. However, some unspoken rules regarding dressing while meeting clients still need to be followed but it depends on the nature of the client as well. No strict dress code to come into the office.

I joined via the graduate program, which consisted of. Sending my resume. An offline video questionnaire. Coding Challenge. Assessment Day. Interview The first three were fairly standard, the assessment day was interesting we were given a task of improving the Empired website as a group and then a short speech on our findings to the group. I liked how it actually involved the real Empired website and could see it being something you work on at the company.

Solid starting pay for a graduate position.

The training programs offered by Empired are greatly. We are currently leveraging off Microsoft's built programs/videos and documentation readily available to us.

Very flexible, very open to Working From Home. Can start early or late - just have to make sure to clock in 8 hours everyday. The employees seem to work for 9 hours (including an hour for lunch) or more usually.
