I like the structure of the company it feels quite organized and robust. I also like the seating arrangements of the teams being together which allows for faster and more frequent cooperation and teamwork. Socializing with colleagues isn't always straightforward, as there is no designated time for it. The environment is professional; however, I occasionally make an effort to ask questions beyond work-related topics to better understand them.

Generally approachable hierarchy, despite being quite deep. Almost everyone approachable. Ranges from department to department.

The team which I work in is very close and supportive, and we tend to socialize within our team. I appreciate working within a diverse group of people from different genders, backgrounds and cultures. This diversity is not consistent across the rest of the company. The company culture is good, and have initiatives to foster networking across the company – however my hours are such that this not always accessible for me. Hierachy relating to valuation of different types of knowledge is a negative, and something which my team is affected by.

There are social drinks and chippies on Friday. My team has monthly social events that have occurred during or outside work hours. We have a bureaucratic work structure with the company split into functional teams. I report to a functional leader. There can be a feeling of distance between me and anyone higher but that's to be expected. We are a fairly social team. Additionally, I am fortunate to be situated in close proximity to other grads in my cohort where we regularly spend down time together to socialise.

Socialising is encouraged, we have a social kitchen dedicated to socialising with others and meeting new people. Everyone in the office is approachable and friendly, we have people from all over the world and I hear many different languages spoken every day. Teamwork is everywhere, I get asked to help people move things and for second opinions and I always ask people around me for help.

Everyone at F&P is kind and welcoming. I feel that I am able to walk up to anyone to ask a question if I am unsure about something which is great. We have "Friday Drinks" at 4pm on a Friday with company provided alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks as well as snacks such as chips and peanuts to share amongst groups. This allows everyone to wind down and socialise a bit at the end of the week. The graduate program offers us funding for events to complete as a graduate cohort, so far we have been bowling/laser tag/arcade as well as making a breakfast for everyone and are planning to go to mini golf and ice skating. Within Product Development, the company is divided into groups based on product line (refrigeration, laundry) + electronics (including software) operating as a separate team. Within these larger groups, there are smaller teams which have specialised functions called "functional groups." These functional groups are lead by a functional leader (a manager basically) with a number of team members under them. Everybody at the company has a weekly meeting with their manager to discuss what they have been doing, and aligning on what work needs to be done going forward. In addition to these weekly meetings, there are quarterly development meetings where you can discuss your development and career aspirations.

Structure is super-efficient, easy to talk to anyone in the organisation! People who work here are generally really nice and helpful

The employees of the company are all from very diverse cultural backgrounds; People share food from different cultures at teabreaks and lunchbreaks. Everyone's desk is in a big office and we can just go up to their desk and talk to anyone, making collaboration very easy.

Work culture is pretty great both in office and after hours. Company generally has a flat structure and hierachy. You can easily talk to people from different functional teams, backgrounds and skill levels. Collaboration and teamwork is heavily encouraged across Product Development, which is great.
People here are generally very kind and willing to help. Lots of opportunity to socialise, especially as a graduate in Product Development, with lots of events available.

A great company culture is harbored where hierarchy plays no role in approachability of staff. Consequently, collaborative teamwork across project teams is encouraged and comes easily.

Fairly standard structure, a lot of communication within my team and also with other teams when necessary. Colleagues are friendly and social
Graduate, Auckland - 04 May 2023
Company culture is social, friendly and supportive. The company structure is based on a flat structure without a lot of middle managers. They also have Friday drinks which gives everyone a good chance to chat after a long week of hard work.

Really friendly, helpful workplace culture. Large focus on learning from each other and people are always happy and willing to make time to help. We have a great dedicated social space which is able to be used by various social groups within the office.
Graduate, Dunedin - 04 May 2023
Cooperation, teamwork, and communication between colleagues and departments has been good. Friday evening drinks is a great initiative and the act of providing food and purposefully putting aside time to socialise is effective and authentic. Socialising and social opportunities depends on the team, which can be harder when working on single-person tasks that don't have frequent overlap with other ongoing tasks. After-hours social events/groups don't often seem to cross team/department boundaries.

Everyone is friendly and happy to help out or share knowledge. The structure of teams are physically laid out such that you can easily walk up to someone and talk to them, even from a different team. Team leaders sit amongst their team and the chief engineers (who oversee the wider projects) are also positioned close-by in the open-plan office. Very open space to encourage collaboration within and between teams. The company has a few staff-led clubs such as Thursday football after work, boxing sessions some mornings, Chinese language classes, etc. Most teams will also have some sort of monthly catchup with a company-paid meal, such as breakfast, where the team can relax and enjoy some kai and banter together (on company time). Friday drinks is also nice.

Our company is comprised of several (>20) teams (3-8 people per team), each of which is led by a Functional Leader (FL) who reports to one or more of the Executive Leaders. Each team works in close collaboration with each other. Employees are very passionate about their work and the company's purpose. We regularly celebrate our individual and team successes (e.g., company-funded lunch or outing for meeting a deadline, Friday drinks) as well as birthdays and other key milestones. Us graduates regularly catch-up outside of work (e.g., go to the beach, BYO, bowling).

Good culture amongst the graduate cohort and within my personal team. People that are superior in the hierarchy are very approachable, helpful, and do not usually feel intimidating. Perhaps a lack of crossover between teams in the business (ie. not much social mingling between PD/IT/Brand+Marketing/ID etc.
Graduate, Auckland - 24 Mar 2023
Very good for the workers. The interpersonal approach to productivity means there is an ongoing communication with many members of the team. Not sure if this is good for the company, especially if staff turnover rate is high and the interpersonal approach means that the knowledge gained is within the persons, not the system. This is better for addressed for mechanical dept than electronics

The culture is great - everyone is easily approachable and always willing to help. My team in particular were easy to integrate in to and consistently work to maintain a good culture. We do social activities outside of the office as well as during work times.
Graduate, Auckland - 24 Mar 2023
The culture is very enjoyable to be a part of. Colleagues are extremely knowledgeable and really helpful. Friday beers occur every week and is a great chance to socialise.
