I'm regularly drafting pleadings, regulatory submissions and client advices. My team has a good spread of transactional advisory, litigation and regulatory work so I get to try my hand at everything.

Good level of responsibility generally, have direct client contact in some cases but usually working with senior lawyer.

Good variety of challenging tasks that change day by day according to business need

It ebbs and flows. When you are particularly busy and learning a lot 1-on-1 with partners and seniors, I am very satisfied. However, when you are in period of lulls from work, it is hard to be motivated or satisfied at work. When working on particular matters or transactions, depending on the seniors you may be given more or less responsibility. I prefer more responsibility as long as there is efficient oversight. However, it can be difficult when micro-managed or when you are only given small tasks which make it difficult to get a decent oversight into the transaction at large.

Drafting documents, conducting legal research

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating loan documentation for corporates, private equity sponsors and lenders for both M&A transactions and general corporate purposes (although primarily focused in leverage finance). I also have leadership and training responsibilities for the more junior lawyers in the team.

I provide clients with a range of legal services. I have direct contact with clients. I prepare advices, pleadings and evidence, attend court and mediations etc.

I am brought into a number of different deals and do a variety of tasks
