Corporate Social Responsibility at Honeywell Australia and New Zealand

As part of Honeywell's continual effort to be better they are actively seeking to find ways to improve their inclusivity and stand up for what is wrong. An example I have been a part of is when Honeywell write a proposal we outline our FTE breakdowns and actively promote our activism towards anti-slavery etc.

The company is committed to working sustainably.

I think on the philanthropic front, we had an event where we could volunteer at a farm.

They certainly talk the talk, and I think they walk the walk. I don't know the company well enough to comment further.

Plenty of programs and initiatives to improve the work experience of the employees.

They have a reconciliation action plan, celebrate international women's day

Haven't really come across much regarding social responsibility. I know Honeywell have programs in place but I haven't seen any of these.

Soft skills training and graduate training week for networking and teamwork.

The reconciliation action plan (RAP) and cultural awareness sessions were great initiatives, many people use the welcome to country when beginning a meeting which is great sign of involvement/respect. Have not seen any community/environmental involvement.

Not particularly familiar with any initiatives for CSR on a day to day basis.

Have not seen large evidence of this apart from our Indigenous Participation Program? Which I guess counts

This is a very context specific question. Does Honeywell lead the world globally in this area? Nowhere near. Does Honeywell lead the way in the commercial engineering industry? I suspect it would do better than average compared to other similar companies. Does it lead the way in the Building Automation Industry in this area? It is strong for this industry and is probably a leader.

I am not really sure what types of things my company does beyond their legal requirements.

Yearly goal has to be made as target for each employee which will eventually lead to the company's goal being achieved.

Balance between making profit and maintaining a good code of ethics. Some of the projects will have good outcomes for sustainability as well as for the community.
