Honeywell has a great mix of diversity across the business. Honeywell actively pushes its inclusion and diversity portfolio to all Honeywell staff. They have numerous communities that regularly connect with each other and reach out organising events and information sessions that all employees have access too. They also have numerous support networks for those in need.

Have not encountered any issues in regards to discrimination within the company. The employee cohort is inviting and very diverse. Honeywell is focused on recruiting the best talent, and ensure everyone needs are met during the recruitment processes, and beyond. They have a relatively high retention rate with many employees having been the company for 15, 20, 30, 40+ years.

The company is clearly committed to diversity. There are frequent events held for awareness and support.
Graduate, Sydney - 30 May 2024
from what I have noticed there are multiple groups and events celebrating different diversities.
Graduate, Brisbane - 30 May 2024
I think the recruited employees are come from all types of backgrounds, some have studied master degrees, some are still at university, others have worked multiple jobs first. Different races, religion and genders have all been hired.

There are engagement groups at each major office that organise activities inside and outside of work, some of which promote diversity.

Company does not discriminate based on irrelevant issues. Good diversity within the team and within the office. Recruitment process is thorough but respectful. Many people are involved in the recruitment process. General retention seems good.
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Nov 2018
Very respectful to all people of diverse backgrounds

Clear attention to diversity in hiring regarding women and ethnicity. Haven't seen any materials about LGBT. A number of female graduates have left, but reasons why can't be clear. 12-week top-up maternity leave (on top of government paid leave up to salary amount), smaller allowances for fathers/carers - 1 week paid by Honeywell, as well as government allowances. Allowance for 12 months unpaid leave.

Diversity is a big consideration in Honeywell. Being mostly engineers, there is a skew of males/females and Honeywell are doing everything they can to change this. They are also heavily invested in ethnic minorities and have even started an aboriginal program in which we support locally run aboriginal businesses as well as hiring a set number of employees with various cultural backgrounds.

The company is very committed and I see a lot of programs being advertised and invested into to promote diversity. However, some areas of the business such as field service technicians are not particularly diverse.
Graduate, Sydney - 17 Sep 2018
Diversity at the moment is reasonably poor, currently a big push to improve. Many women in positions of high power.
Graduate, Canberra - 17 Sep 2018
Honeywell has people from all over the world and is very culturally diverse. I feel that women are respected and have equal opportunity, maternity and paternity leave is offered. The reconciliation action plan (RAP) and cultural awareness sessions were great initiatives, many people use the welcome to country when beginning a meeting which is great sign of involvement/respect. However I think more can be done to generate awareness of other sectors, for example I have not seen any LGBT initiatives, but have heard it could be on the horizon.
Graduate, Brisbane - 17 Sep 2018
Honeywell is very proud of their diversity initiatives. I have been involved in a number of events sparked from diversity initiatives, most recently NAIDOC week which I found very insightful and respectful.
Graduate, Newcastle - 17 Sep 2018
Recruitment and retention of female graduates in some roles in the company are poor. There is a lot of diversity in terms of ethnic minorities however LGBT recruitment is not particularly strong.
Midlevel, Sydney - 17 Sep 2018
They seem committed, but there isnt a lot of diversity in the work place - being a male dominated field. They work on improving it though.
Graduate, Canberra - 17 Sep 2018
Show commitment to these important issues.
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Jul 2018
No issue with racism, sexism or diversity- far more men than women as is reflective of the industry in general and not a company fault
