There is no payment for overtime so the hourly wage is low

Pay is not good enough for the quality of work that is expected of us.

on par with similar companies/roles and good progression

-First year pay is below industry standards. Graduates starting in other corporates such as banks and NZX50 are paid around 60-65k with this increasing every year. -Although I have heard the pay will increase this year, it is still below other businesses in the corporate sector. -Bonus program is heavily dependent on how much work is available and how much billable work is done. This is tough to control as a junior when you're not allocated on projects. The whole team needs to do well starting from allocation of more work to more billable hours to achieve the bonus.

Pay and bonuses are below industry average.

I think the base salary for a grad is average for a company like KPMG. The process for a pay raise is very long, and I think should be shortened so early on. In the first year I feel grads should have a solid opportunity to move to an A2 in the mid year. (As there is very little difference in responsibilities across the earlier years). No company bonus received.

I feel that my current level of pay absolutely does not reflect the amount of work I do for the firm. I am constantly working very hard and producing quality work that should have been assigned to employees with far greater knowledge then myself so I definitely don't feel the pay is fair.

Pay is not great for graduate but increases the more experience you get
Graduate, Auckland - 19 Jan 2023
I think everyone feels they deserve to be paid more than what they get paid. I think what I get is fair for what I do, and my qualification when starting. However, I do feel that in the unique situations with employees they should have more pay/bonuses for working overtime and during stressful busy seasons. And going back to having high turnover and not enough staff to carry the workload a lot of staff feel unrewarded for working long hours.

The first year salary isn't great, though it is pretty standard for the industry. Pay seems to increase quite nicely over the following years however. I have not yet received a bonus but that will be coming through in the next few months.

I am yet to receive a pay bonus, but STIP sounds like a good way to reward hard work.
Graduate, Auckland - 19 Jan 2023
pay is fine, have not received bonus or heard word of any bonuses

We havent received any yet

KPMG is different to the other big 4 as the do bi annual salary increases for all levels of staff. Therefore other graduates at the other big 4 receive bumps 2 times a year, while we get the 1 in April. I think that the bi annual pay bumps reflect the expanding knowledge base and output for KPMG as we are offering a much different skill set than when we first started.

My pay has not kept up with inflation at all. Since I signed on in March of 2021, the pay increased by $2,500 after a month of working here in April 2022. This is disappointing as the cost of living has been increasing so much over this time. Many of my friends at other firms have gotten multiple pay rises within this time frame. As well as wellness benefits and other perks. It is also dissapointing that new graduates will be earning more than me when they start, despite having a year's less experience.

As a graduate I will accept a lower pay as the work experience and study options are very valuable. We have Short Term Incentives Pay; yet to be paid out
Graduate, Auckland - 19 Jan 2023
Pretty low for the work put in
Graduate, Wellington - 19 Jan 2023
No news yet on bonuses as I am a graduate. The pay definitely needs a push if KPMG wants to attract and retain talent.
Graduate, Auckland - 19 Jan 2023
The pay in corporate finance is low compared to peers doing similar roles at other firms (excluding big four) but the progression within the team and pay appears to be decent
