Our Purpose
At KPMG we are committed to fuelling New Zealand’s prosperity, not only for our clients but also our communities. It drives everything we do to make our country a better place to live and work.
We need great people with us on this journey – and that includes you, our future graduates. We give you the training and support you need to take on a world of opportunities, both in New Zealand and overseas.
Join our Team
KPMG NZ recruits a large pool of talented graduates and interns every year across our 7 offices: Auckland, Christchurch, Hamilton, Tauranga, Timaru, Wellington and Ashburton.
We have five main business areas – Tax, Audit, Advisory, Private Enterprise, and Digital Lighthouse – with opportunities in each. To gain a better understanding of our business areas and what they offer, visit our careers page.
Research
Explore the KPMG website, engage with us online, and connect at events. Be proactive in learning about opportunities.
Apply Online
Applications open a year before your start date. Check out our current opportunities here once they are live. As part of your application, you’ll need to provide your official university academic transcript.
Video Interview and Online Testing
If we believe you could be a good fit for KPMG, we'll invite you to participate in a video interview. Don't worry; these questions are short and simple, and you'll have the chance to practice using the video tool beforehand. Additionally, you'll complete some basic verbal, numerical, and personality questionnaires online.
Invitation
Here's where it gets exciting. You'll receive an email invitation to either an Assessment Day or an Interview, depending on the team's size or location.
Assessment Day
This is a fantastic learning opportunity. You'll work in teams to analyse and present a real-life business case. You'll also tour the office and network with Partners, Managers, and fellow graduates.
Interview
This is where you will meet with two staff members from the team you applied for to learn more about the role and daily activities. Make sure you have questions for us, as this is your opportunity to interview us as well!
Offer
Most offers are made within 48 hours of attending an Assessment Day or an Interview, if it will take longer we will notify you. Good luck!
Feedback
If you are not successful after attending an Interview or Assessment Day, you will receive individual feedback via email, with the option to book a 15-minute feedback call with one of our Graduate Experience Team members. Please don't be discouraged and we encourage you to reapply for our next round of applications.
