Promotion opportunities seems to be based largely on role availability (i.e., if someone in the next position up leaves / moves teams) rather than individual. Does also seem to vary by area / manager though.

There's always people being promoted and moving around. However that only seems to be within Victoria, the office im in which is interstate, only seen a small handful of people being promoted or moved teams

Endless opportunities to gain new jobs and pay rises. Staff are usually promoted quickly and staff receive good pay rises with each progression

There's a guaranteed role for those who complete the grad program which is very comforting. There's flexibility to explore different areas of the business and decide which path you'd like to pursue.

As the structure of the company is flattening, it is not always easy to move up the ranks in the company. It is often the case that you need to take side steps to gain more skills in order to advance your career.

Althought it will inevitably take time and effort, it is definitely easy to move up the ranks. You just need to be motivated and constantly exceed expectations in your capabilities.

I think it is quite achievable to roll off the graduate program to a decent role where you can move up the ranks to a manager within 5 or so years. As for moving in to people leader and executive roles I am not sure.
