We do a number of different rotations within Business Banking. At the moment I am supporting the Relationship Associates

My role is to run Early Careers programs and acquire Talent for the bank. I also attend external careers expo's and help to deliver graduate training and development programs.

Steady workflow, guided by team members and very well supported

I am working in Accounting Operations in the Process Design and Control team. I am enjoying the work that I am currently involved in. Our team is in a transformation phase with onshoring and offshoring different types of tasks. Currently I am preparing reconciliations and processing certain journals as part of my business as usual. We also are a support function where we answer any queries that come through the mailbox on system issues.

I'm in a rotational program so this has changed depending on my team. I am given work to totally own, which is good. I am also allowed to shadow senior conversations to build my understanding. I would like more feedback on the outputs I produce.

As a business banking graduate, I get rotations across the different teams that encompass the business leading lifecycle. I have a full end-to-end understand of how each team impacts and touches the process which is amazing.

Role well suited to my interests and skill set

Credit analysis, Bank Guarantees, term deposits, checking new customer backgrounds, closing & opening new accounts and cards, amending bank accounts

My day to day responsibilities will transform throughout each rotation. At the start, I will be learning new programs/software/systems while shadowing a more experienced team member, then assigned tasks to complete myself independently when I'm ready. The whole process places a heavy focus on helping me learn and absorb knowledge in each team.

Challenging work in a project management space. Overseeing many project managers and keeping tasks to timeline, budget and scope gives me great end to end perspective and fast learning.

I am given tasks that challenge me in a good way and I'm able to share my work with superiors.

Mainly shadowing

My day to day responsibilities involve a lot of interaction with customers and responding to their requests. I work with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external, and as a graduate there is a lot of opportunity for me to be involved in all parts of the lending process. The day-to-day of a frontline banker is very fast paced, and always changing.

The graduate program just wasn't for me. You need to be really clear on what stream you apply for to make sure it�s the most suitable one for you, to get the most out of the experience.

My rotation in the Asset Management Strategy team has given me so much exposure to the current and future prospects of this business, and also the ability to meet so many people!
