There were lots of stages of the interview process

I had just the two interviews here

Recruitment process was completed very early but was very good.

Interview process was thorough and carried out group assessment along with individual assessment. This was a fun experience and everyone had the opportunity to stand out and sell themselves.

Online testing, followed by video interview and then a combined group and individual interview. All virtual.

Typical graduate recruitment process. But the team were very friendly and welcoming throughout. It moved quickly and there were no surprises. It was great to meet reps from the business in the interview so I could ask more specific questions

Was quite good, had an assessment centre where got put into groups to work on group activity while being watched by someone from early careers and a senior banker from the department I would be going into, don't remember the interview much.

Don't really remember but there was an online assessment centre where all the applicants that round were gathered into a zoom call, split into groups, and asked to do a short group project together with some problem solving prompt

HR were quick to get back to you and process was smooth.

The interview process consisted of several stages: Online application and pre-screening questions, Online test, Video Interview, and finally an Assessment Centre

I interviewed for the internship and was lucky enough to be kept on for the graduate program. The internship followed the normal processes of assessment centres etc but in person as this was 2019

I completed an online application, participated in some online questionnaire/psychometric testing, participated in a video interview (questions on a screen which you record your response to), then an in-person assessment centre comprising of a group activity and an individual interview. I was then offered a role and asked to complete a background check.

It was an online application , online assessment, assessment centre which consisted of a group activity + interview.

The interview process quite long - it involved an online application, psychometric assessments, a video interview and then an assessment centre. The team were accessible and communicated throughout the entire process, which was fantastic.

What do you think will challenge you at this job

I was asked why I wanted to work at NAB, Why are I was interested in markets, what do I think has been one of the largest factors affecting the Australian economy in the last 10 years, what are interest rates currently sitting at and how many planes are currently flying over Sydney airport.

I was asked about my life experiences, instances I exhibited leadership and teamwork, and how I see myself as fitting within the NAB values.

Job specific and graduate specific

It's a lengthy process but is worth it if you get the job. It’s hard if you are going through a number of these processes all at the same time tho.

Be proactive and network. Bring enthusiasm to the overall process and all the steps.

Be aware of your strengths and weaknesses and have an understanding of banking. Engage with the group work (this is an important one) - being comfortable working in a group.

Do your research on what the company's involved in, what specific elements that differentiates this program, have that specific knowledge! Also don't neglect your behavioural interview questions

Understand what differentiates NAB from the other banks and show genuine interest in the area you are applying to.

Have some prepared examples for interview responses.

Understand how to answer behavioural questions. Google helped me!

Try to look at things from a different angle rather then head on

Practicing interview questions out loud and without rehearsal can be a great way to build up confidence and train in a real-life way

Research the compnay. There is so much going on in the banking & finance industry that to be able to talk about it in an interview helps show motivation

Be genuine, do research about the company so if they ask "why did you apply for us" you can give some specific response to seem like you're not just handing out 500 resumes to every single company (even if you are)

having an understanding and appreciation of nabs values.

Know the stream/area you applied for as well as you can.

Ensure candidates cite examples of their part-time work and extra curricular activities in their responses.

Show that you have some understanding of the sector you're applying for. Be clear as to why you are interested in applying for the company and be able to demonstrate how you align with their strategic ambition.

Be yourself. Nab is very interested in person as well as experience.

Become familiar with the company and its programs, both related to core businesses and community outreach. Have a clear response about why you want to work for NAB and not just any bank.

Do research about the company, make a good resume and practice common interview questions as much as possible

Talk about NAB values

Learn as much as they can about the company, and emphasise the values that NAB shares during your interview.
