New pay seems well-placed, especially for a graduate.
Graduate, Darwin - 13 Sep 2024
Very happy.
Graduate, Brisbane - 13 Sep 2024
I am happy! Still waiting on Tatts though
Graduate, Darwin - 12 Sep 2024
It is good to know that you can make a business case to jump multiple pay points at the changeover
Graduate, Canberra - 12 Sep 2024
The pay does really reflect the work we do. We are also guaranteed a small increase every year to keep up with cost of living.
Graduate, Canberra - 12 Sep 2024
It's government, so it's not the best, particularly at this lower level. That said, it is disappointing to be working in government and still really feeling the pinch of this cost of living crisis (even as a single 20-something). There are many other perks to working in government, but it's still stressful to be scraping by on a government wage.
Graduate, Katherine - 11 Sep 2024
Pay can always be better, we're public servants.
Graduate, Canberra - 11 Sep 2024
Salary is good but does not match cost of living including housing in Canberra, causing personal difficulties.
Graduate, Canberra - 11 Sep 2024
Flex time, travel allowance
Graduate, Perth - 11 Sep 2024
I am satisfied.
Graduate, Canberra - 20 Aug 2024
Could be better- especially for the lower grade APS level staff.
Graduate, Canberra - 15 Jul 2024
Seems very fair that grads will start at APS4 next year. Would be good to see it extend to Career Starters, they are absolutely underpaid.
Graduate, Canberra - 25 Jul 2023
As a graduate, we start off a wage too low, and with our qualifications there should be a tier award rate if you have a Masters or PhD .
Graduate, Darwin - 25 Jul 2023
While the starting salary is a bit lower, salary progression is fairly quick.
Graduate, Canberra - 25 Jul 2023
Currently APS3 whilst on grad program
Graduate, Brisbane - 25 Jul 2023
I am unsatisfied with my pay as I am still on probation as a graduate. Understandably, with decades of professional experience, this is a back step financially, but is a means to an end to get my foot in the door with the APS.
Graduate, Brisbane - 14 Jun 2023
My salary is very generous for an entry-level job.
Graduate, Canberra - 15 May 2023
Superannuation is fantastic. The starting salary is a little lower compared to costs of living, especially with relocating for work, but salary progression is good with a pay increase in the first six months.
