About the role:

As a graduate in the Electrical stream, you will work under the guidance of our highly experienced team of engineers here at NDY to develop detailed electrical engineering designs. You will have the chance to work on a variety of projects that range in both scope and complexity. Through this journey you will be supporting and be supported by other like-minded individuals to provide innovative solutions that deliver results to our clients.

You will gain exposure across the various market sectors that NDY work within, including commercial property, retail centres, schools and universities, high-rise residential buildings, transport infrastructure,  precincts, and mission critical facilities like data centres. Each market sector comes with it’s own unique set of requirements and difficulties, which means you are constantly challenged to become a better engineer as you progress.

You will work closely with your team to gain experience in various aspects of electrical design. This would include, designing electrical cabling and infrastructure, providing suitable lighting for different areas, detailing back-up and alternative power requirements, incorporation of solar PV and many others. You will get exposure to various software packages and tools to assist with modelling of power systems, lighting solutions, lightning protection, energy assessments, and 3-dimensional electrical plans.

You will be challenged along the way to create designs that achieve the client’s vision, while also ensuring compliance with various standards and codes are met. You will be encouraged to design inventive solutions that can enhance the original brief to provide a more holistic and sustainable solution. NDY aims to not only meet minimum benchmarks, but to exceed expectations and positively contribute to the built world around us.

In an ever-growing electrified society, the electrical team offers you a world of opportunities to be part of the story and grow your expertise to be able to thrive.
