Through our engineering officer program, you will have the unique opportunity to grow and build your skills and knowledge through diverse rotations across four core areas: Systems, Design, Field and Delivery/Projects. Additional elective options are also on offer, before we support your transition to a role off-program within Powerlink.

You will also ideally hold a relevant electrical trade qualification (or equivalent certificate III qualification) paired with a current Queensland drivers’ licence.

Graduate Program - Currently in the role of a Project Manager delivering renewable energy connection projects. I have mainly been involved in the proposal and design stage, preparing tender documentation for construction works for new substations or substation extensions.

Participating in the Graduate program offers a dual-edged perspective. On one hand, it grants me the valuable opportunity to gain exposure across various facets of the company. However, just as I begin to establish a sense of comfort and familiarity within a specific role, the program requires me to transition to a fresh role within Powerlink.
The company is currently rapidly expanding to accommodate the energy transition which presents some difficulties such as lack of desk space.
