I am more of post-sales. Thus, I interact a lot with customers remotely, either via Email or a phone call. As a graduate, you take a longer time to solve something for the customer and it can be quite pressurizing if the customer's situation is urgent. However, you get to learn a lot through the customer's application.

Programming the controls for the building management system remotely before going to site. Working on site to upgrade/install/commission (testing) the building management system at the customer's site.

Extremely varied role across both marketing and sales team. So far, I have done data analytics, social media management, generating sales intiatives, sales field calls, forecasting, website evaluation

Current role is project engineering. My responsibilities are to manage the execution of customer projects, handling and resolving issues from both production and customer, in collaboration with other departments such as supply chain, engineering, and procurement. I also have some tasks assigned to me, such as making the use of a couple of digital tools more robust and creating clear process flows and work instructions for internal processes.

My role is slightly different from the usual grad role, as I am filling in for a full time position. However, I take ownership of the Market Research and Analytics role for my BU. The research side includes coordinating with stakeholders with a need for research, creating surveys, organising means of promotion (social posts, eDMS, push notifications), organising incentives and visualizing data. It also means coordinating with larger research agencies for macro studies. The analytics side includes conducting the Annual Marketing Report, conducting competitor analyses, analysing trends in the construction industry and greater macro trends in the electrical industry and consolidating them for 4 year strategy decks.

I'm a graduate within the Cybersecurity team. My current day-to-day responsibilities include testing cybersecurity technology that we leverage from our vendors and testing cybersecurity capabilities of our Schneider Electric engineering products.

As a graduate data analyst, I process and analyze the raw information and data, use the usable data, and reflect it on the dashboard to provide stakeholders and users with an understanding of their performances.

Somewhat satisfied. Differs depending on the business that you are in and the leadership you are under. Some work is very aligned with background/passions and some is what you have to do to get the work done. There are situations you are placed in that does not even align with your background and the business has no clue what to do with you as a resource.

Working as an assistant logistic method engineer

I spend a lot of my time doing different things, whether it's coding in SCADA or doing OT work on sites. I really enjoy the work that I do.

Right now I am working in the Project Management team as my grad program consists of 3 different rotations. So far I have assisted in updating the process used for keeping timesheets from an excel spreadsheet to a custom tool, done an amount of data gathering and management for a major construction project in Brisbane, and digitized and organized a large collection of safety documentation from various jobsites for a different project. Day-to-day most of my responsibilities are support the Project Managers in the use of the new timesheets tool, along with occasionally continuing to manage documents for the other projects. The one thing that's for sure is that everyday is different with different requirements to be met.

As an engineer, I’m responsible for designing and programming systems according to our customer needs. In my digital buildings rotation, I was required to go to the site to commission/test the building management system (BMS) that we have designed. I got to meet our customers and listen to their feedback on the system and reconfigure the system to meet their needs. Majority of the engineering/ programming required can be done remotely, which allows for flexible working arrangements.
