Nothing negative, I do notice that not all managers have the time / space to take on and nurture a grad while some do it very well. They tend to be very busy, which does allow the grad to make connections and learn to use the resources available. New managers to grads should also get some training / guidance on how to take on a grad - set up bi-monthly meeting

Managers are quite accessible, able to talk to them whenever needed most of the time. Performance feedback regularly provided

Dependent on the manager. I have had very good experiences and support

I work with my manager daily. He gives me plenty of wisdom to grow as an engineer. He's definitely approachable enough to ask for feedback. However, it really depends on your manager. I've heard managers for other graduates rarely make time for them because they are too busy.

Managers are always open, available and friendly. Never make me feel beneath them or that any questions I asked are invalid. Sometimes their high levels of travel can make them inaccessible which is the only thing but understandable.

Managers in general are very busy, however will nearly always make time to respond to your concerns eventually or via teams. It can be frustrating sometimes to action things, chat about non task specific topics or ask for assistance from managers when their schedules are booked from morning to afternoon, especially if you are in a BU with many grads, as the managers time needs to be split. With the time they do have, managers are great mentors and will always give you heaps of support, resources, solutions and opportunities to hop on and complete projects. Most grads will have a weekly or fortnightly WIP with their manager to stay in contact. Peformance feedback, praise and recognition can be difficult purely because your manager may not have time to look through your output in depth or see every project your across, so you can feel slightly lost or invalidated. You need to initiate this process if you need feedback or want recognition. Sometimes you receive step up points from your peers however as a thank you for assisting them with projects, but the frequency of this depends on which BU you are in

Every manager I have had has been helpful, friendly and interested in my development. They are accessible when you need them and are always willing to give feedback.

My manager has been amazing. She has supported me through various issues and has been an exceptional in assisting me with my career development. I am more than "extremely satisfied" with manager.
Graduate, Melbourne - 28 Aug 2024
My managers are very supportive. They frequently check in to see if I need assistance. My managers always value my input and take my advice seriously.

Moving from team to team it differs. Overall, very satisfied with managers at the company. I have been lucky to bump into a couple managers I report to and dotted line ones that genuinely care about me as a person. There is a focus on my growth/learning but sometimes there are moments they take a step back and check in if I am doing okay in general, especially when starting a new role. Manager accessibility is dependent on the manager. Some are happy for you to pull them aside for a catch up and others feel inaccessible.
Recognition is great overall. If you do well, you will be rewarded. If you need help, help and advice will be provided.

Accessibility to the managers can sometimes be hit or miss from my experience so far, but that's mostly do to the fact they are frequently doing their own thing. The management provide a lot of useful feedback and makes themselves available as much as they can. I believe they act as great mentors, especially coming from a graduate role.
Graduate, Sydney - 22 Aug 2024
My managers are fantastic! We work closely, ensuring that they check-in.
The best mentors I could ask for.
Internal communication is great, ensuring I know what is to come and what is required from me.
Performance feedback is frequent, upon requesting approval on different marcoms tasks (e.g campaign, budget and launch dates)
Praise is fantastic too, I am well recognised and appreciated in the team.

He is a good leader who is always accessible and kind, care about employees and often encourage us. He has excellent knowledge and experience on this field.

They are very good and supportive.

I worked with my manger everyday. Easy to ask for help and feedback. Only a teams message away. They'll also take the time to teach you as well, which was a surprise. One time I only asked one question and it turned into a 2 hour lecture.

Managers are accessible and good mentors. However, manager standards are very different - they are not briefed properly when it comes to our evaluations. Some view us as graduate and some do not, this leads to unfair evaluations and consequently unfair compensations.

Managers were accessible and good mentors. However, I felt my manager was always really busy and overworking so sometimes I would hesitate to reach out. Overtime, I learnt not to hesitate and ask for help/guidance if needed.
