Salary at Simpson Grierson

Pay is revised annually, and the increases have been very satisfactory for me. However bonuses don't tend to be given to juniors at all.

We are paid slightly less than the other large law firms pay - but our hours worked are also slightly less. Juniors do not typically get bonuses unless they worked exceptionally hard.

The pay is competitive in the market

I am currently very satisfied with my pay. I was not satisfied with my pay last year considering the number of hours that were going in, and the fact it was never increased for inflation (even when rates were increased) however it has increased this year and I am very satisfied with it. I am not sure how bonuses work and can think of a few people that I think deserved them but did not receive them.

It is the lower of the big firms.

There is a wellbeing payment of $500 a year, with half given every six months. There are weekly catered morning teas. Other perks tend to be for discounts (gyms and insurance etc).

Clothing allowance and well-being payment and a variety of fun social club events.

We receive a small insurance discount, and small shoe discounts. We can park here for free after hours. We also get $25 dinners and free Ubers home if we work past 7pm.
