Application Process & Interviews at TSA Riley

The acquisition process was a 4-step process; 1) Submission of Graduate Application (involving a series of interview-like questions) 2) Group Assessed Workshop 3) Psychometric Exam 4) One-on-One Interview. Stage 4: the interview, was quick, yet thorough. Within 40minutes, I was asked a range of questions that lead to interesting discussions about the industry.

Interview process and assessments were fairly standard, interviewers were friendly and fair.

The process for the graduate program was really in-depth and good, that is how all of the recruitments should be. It involved aptitude test, group interview and then final interview. I recommend highly to go through the process and turn down the job. The process for hiring everyone else needs some work, as it is less strenuous. It doesn't really make sense why a less strenuous hiring process would take place to higher up positions.

The hiring process or mostly similar to other large companies that hire a Graduate. Submit CV, answer some questions, complete a psychometric test, a group discussion/interview/presentation, a phone call interview, and a final interview with 2 employees.

Interview process consisted of a phone interview, online assessment, group interview and an individual interview. It showed TSA was thorough in their selection process for the graduate programme.

It was very well coordinated and smooth.

Personal questions about myself, questions regarding previous experience and education, practical questions regarding problem solving and style of working.

Was very casual and comforting. Was asked a lot about my personality. However, a certain interviewer wasn't too happy that I went to a coed public school.

Nothing extreme. Who I am, my experience, why this company, what value I will bring to the company, where you see yourself in 5 or 10 years etc.

The questions seem non-standard as the assessors really tried to get to know you and what made you tick to ensure you fit into the company culture.

My interview was focused around what my work placement entailed.

Have a clear WHY behind your motivation to work for not only TSA Riley, but within the industry of Project Management. Read about TSA Riley and what impact they have made on social infrastructure. Develop a thorough understanding of the projects that interest you most. Ensure you are applying for a company that inspires you and aligns with your values and motivations.

The best way to prepare would be to look into the company's values, service offerings, projects, and sectors to understand what the company looks for in a candidate.

Preparation should be very broad, think about what you would bring to the team and how you would like to be placed in the business. It is likely the only movement in the business will occur if you are upfront at the start

Understand what the company really does. What is the company's industry focus? Who are their main clients? Read their website carefully. LinkedIn is full of information as well.

Prepare for what they are looking for and why they want to work in the sector.

Have genuine interest in the sectors you are keen to work in, do research on the companies projects we have both previously done and are currently doing

Be yourself and be confident in your interview. Be upfront about your strengths and weaknesses

To prepare, think about why you are applying and what you think you want to learn/how you want to grow.

The biggest tip I could give is don't over prepare and stress over answers to every single question you think interviewer "may" ask. Prepare the necessary information you need to get across.
