Unilever is a leader in sustainability and innovation. In a Supply Chain Internship Program, youโ€™ll have access to our world-leading Supply Chain, work with highly experienced teams and lead your own projects.

You will be able to demonstrate your potential through an exciting and challenging intern assignment at Unilever. Our internship programme gives you real work from day one, with clear deliverables and a plan to develop your skills during the internship.

Over the three-month internship, you will be assigned a business leader as your personal mentor, provided strong line manager support, and will be able to join the peer community of graduates on the Unilever Future Leaders Programme. 

The programme will commence from December 2022 to March 2023 and will be based in our office in North Rocks. We understand Universities vary with timetables and so we are happy to be flexible and can offer full-time and part-time internships during this period, (excluding the holiday period of Christmas and New Year).

If you are in your penultimate year at university and you are an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident, then our Summer Internship is for you! Applications close on 25th September 2022.

Everyday looks different. I do however have a lot of autonomy and trust to complete a range of tasks on my own, and make key decision on influence to the business. I work collaboratively with supply chain, marketing and customer teams to make sure we have product in the right paces, the right prices and correct positions.

Pros

  • Flexible 4-day work week. Wide breadth of knowledge and experience to learn from. Supportive and genuine company culture.

  • The people. There are so many key influential people who constantly drive learning, development, support and fun to make the workplace such a positive place to be, and an ideal environment for early careers.

  • The flexibility, the people are kind and helpful, lots of opportunity to learn and grow.

  • Flexibility - 4 Day Work Week trial People - friendly and always willing to help Rewards - testing new products, discounts for our products and eating ice-cream!

  • In the office, the culture is good. With people very friendly and always willing to help. Also in-office benefits like ice cream, so people sometimes take breaks together and get ice cream.

Cons

    • Lack of succession planning for roles (no handover documents).

    • Sometimes things can be slow to get done, very complicated system process and approval processes.

    • Training and development by line managers. As the business is lean, line managers are often stretched with limited time to grow the upcoming generation.

    • Work can be stressful. There is always a mountain of work to get done - and everyone holds themselves to a very high standard.

    • Being placed far away from where I live. Long commute
