"Te Kaunihera Akonga o Wairaka| Unitec Student Council amplify student voices at both a local and national level. This means we represent and speak on behalf of students to Unitec staff, Governing body, the NZ Government and the media.
We are made up of a team of 7. We are very much about wanting to support our tauira (students) to finding 'success' within their academic journey. We interpret 'success' as defined by the student.
The Student President Role is 30 hours per week and all other reps have up to 10 hours per week so we do our best with limited resources.
We are here to advocate on your behalf and to amplify your voices so please share your journey with us.
In our booth at the Diversity Careers Fair, we will be discussing our role as USC to tauira, the support USC can offer to students and mainly to answer any questions or problems you may have that are arising. We are passionate about engaging with students and ensuring you have a safe and healthy studying environment. So let us know how we can help Unitec feel more like home."
