About the role:
Working in Ventia’s North Sydney / Cremorne VIC office, we are seeking Junior Project Controllers and Junior Contract Administration Graduates to join our commercial team. Working on a range of essential and diverse projects throughout Australia, ideally, this position will commence mid-late July.

Junior Project Control – Commercial
- Successfully completed Commerce or Economics Degree within the last two years.
- Hold full work rights to work in Australia (PR, or Australian Citizen).
- All applicants must be willing to undergo a National Police Check and be able to pass a pre-employment medical which includes a Drug and Alcohol test.
Junior Contract Administrator – Commercial
- Successfully completed Commerce or Economics Degree within the last two years.

As a grad at Ventia, my role involves a mix of learning, contributing to projects, and supporting various functions within the team. On a day-to-day basis, I’m actively engaged in a range of tasks, including assisting with project coordination, monthly update content videos, steering committee and participating in team meetings daily.
In my role, I support the Telecommunications Business Development team by organising meetings, creating client profiles, and ensuring the smooth execution of events. Additionally, I contribute to the brand, marketing, and communications aspects, which include developing capability statements for the Telecommunications sector, auditing and updating our company webpages, and adding news stories about company events.

Cons
Our salary is not as competitive as some other companies.
For long periods, I have had nothing to do and generally was underutilised.
Having the company work across New Zealand and Australia creates some communication barriers.
Sometimes due to how large the company is and the variety of work they do, it's difficult to get a proper handle on what everyone does at the company and know who to reach out to.
Travel distance far from site areas.
