The opportunity:

We have graduate opportunities starting in February 2023 for a Chemical Engineer who is inspired by the possibility of a career with a global leader in sustainable packaging and resources industry.

Our two-year Graduate Program provides an opportunity for each graduate to experience four diverse workplaces, supported throughout by a dedicated learning and development pathway. During your two- year graduate placement you will also receive regular mentoring with established leaders within Visy’s business.

  • Chemical Engineering- Campbellfield, VIC

What you bring to the team:

A Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, gained within the previous 18 months.

To be successful in this program, you will be highly motivated with a practical, but innovative mindset to think outside the square and find the right solutions for the business and our customers.

Pros and cons of working at Visy

Pros

  • My co-workers and managers are always describing all processes to a high level of detail and we are able to tour the sites,allowing me to gain a high understanding of many aspects of the business.

  • The challenges are great. In Visy, you learn something new every day.

  • I’m in my second rotation. It’s a respectful and professional workplace, reasonably engaging work, reasonable hours and compensation for weekend work, a boss who listens to my input, and the opportunity for growth and development.

  • Flexible work. Great mentors.

  • Endless opportunities to explore your interests and a good overall work culture.

Cons

    • Sometimes it can get a little slow but it’s sure to pick right back up again shortly .

    • Long working hours can mean you need to manage your work-life balance.

    • It can be demanding at times where I have to work long hours.
