Application Process & Interviews at Visy

It started with a behavioral assessment before moving on to a group interview which was conducted in a team challenge setting. Once successful, there will be a final interview with potential supervisors before getting the job.

Straightforward. Entertaining and engaging group interview process was the first step. Followed by an interview with our potential supervisors. It was a quick and clear process.

The hiring process was divided into five stages. It was long, though Visy must receive thousands of applications.

Standard large corporation hiring process, including online application, online recorded interview, group interview and individual interview

My entire interview process was within COVID. It went across about 4-5 months and included an online assessment with maths and problem solving assessed. There was also an online zoom call with around 30 applicants we were put into breakout rooms to do an activity with the group and then answered questions back in the main group about how the activity relates to life/real jobs

Its an innovative recruitment process - instead of recording a video, I took part in a strategic game, showcasing work ethics, sense of responsibility and teamwork.

I was a bit different to the rest of the graduates as I was the only one hired a year later. There were 2 major interviews and a few tests involved to gauge your ability.

Why Visy? How do you feel about fluctuating start times (maybe early ones)?

Personal and technical questions.

How would you describe your worst and best manager? What are your tactics towards completing tasks? What are your potential areas of improvement? Why do you want this role? How will you contribute to the business and role?

Future plans, optimal position & past experiences including my studies

Why Visy and what experience have you had. What skills can you bring to the table.

Do lots of research about the company and understand the company's core values. Ask lots of questions about the company during your interview.

Understand the company and have a genuine interest in it. Pick a company because you think you will be interested in the work. Be open, and prepare questions of your own.

Take the time to read about the company's mission, values and last investments/projects. During the interview, ask questions to the interviewer (always ask, even if it is just one).

I wrote down so many potential interview questions but did not try to memorise, instead to truly believe in how I was answering but I was prepared for every question
