I feel like I am contributing to my community/country through the projects I am involved with, and that I am doing work that is meaningful to my own career development, the business itself and to society. I have spent most of my time sitting behind a computer so far in my role. This contrasts to previous geotech roles where I have had lots of opportunity to get experience on site. with the change of government, the companies' ability to win work has significantly decreased. And with the loss of funding of trec it has only worsened. As a graduate the work that would typically trickle down to us is not happening anymore. This has made development extremely difficult.
