Working Hours at WSP New Zealand

8.7
8.7 rating for Working Hours, based on 141 reviews
How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
My work hours are mostly consistent and I am able to work longer/shorter days during the week and arrive/leave the office at a suitable/reasonable time. The company is supportive of working flexible hours and hybrid working within reason and as long as your working arrangements are communicated to your manager.

I do not follow a schedule but try to work one day at home each week.

40 hours, but flexible, so if I work 50 hours one week I can work 30 the next week.

This is one of the positive things about wsp. Working hours are flexible and can be tailored to your lifestyle (as long as you are getting 40 hours in and working the core hours of the day). One day I'll work from 7:30 - 4:00 so I can play sport and other days I'll work from 9:30 - 6:00 so I can go to an appointment in the morning. Working from home is also great for wellbeing, time management and focus.

Great flexibility in how I fulfill my weekly hours

Very flexible. I tend to be in office most of the time as that is the easiest way to be assigned tasks.

Generally work from about 8:30 to 5ish. We can choose to work from home or in the office any days of the week.

Working overtime is somewhat common, but when not required for a project the hours are very flexible

We are allowed 2 days a week that we can work from home by default

Very flexible, I think it is encouraged to be at least 3 days per week in the office, but it can vary person to person, for me I like only 1 day working from home, but others may do something different, and if I feel like working home a certain day and don't need to be in the office then I can do that.

Good flexibility with work hours.

I imagine it would range a little between managers but generally as long as you do 40 hours across the week, how those are split up isn't too big of a deal if things are communicated properly. It's reasonably easy to work from home and a lot of people will do that quite often

My work hours are extremely flexible. I typically like to get into work earlier (around 7:30am) which means I'm usually finished with work by 3:30pm. This allows me to spend my afternoons and evenings doing activities I love. I also have the option to work from home a few days of the week although this is dependent on if I'm needed on site. I personally prefer working in the office, so I typically don't work from home although having the option is great.

Extremely flexible when it comes to hours, can work from home as wanted/needed.

Standard 8 hours a day with minor flexibility for starting and ending work days. Company prefers around 3 days in office per week if you do work from home some days. If in office, 10am - 3pm within the office is preferred for in person meetings.

Company is very flexible when and where you work. Required to come in at least 3 days a week, monday required. Can work whenever you want

Work hours are flexible as long as we communicate this clearly with our manager.

I work 40 hours a week. I find this a little tricky as lunch is obviously unpaid, so I end up being at work for approx. 9 hours a day. However, I manage that by going for a walk or run around hagley park most days with friends from the office, which breaks up the day nicely. The company has very flexible working arrangements, so you can work remotely, e.g., from home or another office around the country, very easily. with respect to working hours, you can apply for additional purchased leave or reduced hours. However, these do reduce your salary depending on how many hours you want to work. For people who are, for example, parents or studying part-time, it's really useful to be able to work part-time, and it's super easy to organise.
