The tasks that I undertake and the projects I have been given, have given me a real chance to challenge myself and prove my abilities.

I thought about being a pilot, or an air traffic controller, but it was the ever-changing nature and challenges of the engineering profession that drew me in.

As a structures engineer at Airbus I am a part of the in-service engineering team for the ARH Tiger an Australian Army Helicopter.

By completing my internship at Honeywell, this fast-tracked the pathway for me to apply for the Graduate Program as I already had experience with the company.

Diversify yourself and allow personal experimentation and flexibility. Refuse to conform to stereotypes or expectations: go against the grain and be unique.

I spent my time off working in various coffee shops and going on ski holidays until I finally rediscovered my passion for aviation and returned to uni.

Don’t focus too much on grades – as much as you need decent grades, take time to learn and practice people skills because, in the end, those will take you a lot further in your career.
