I have job offer from transpower as graduate engineer

The company's competency framework means there is a pathway for becoming a senior role. As a planner the senior role would be senior planner. Additionally, powerco supports engineers getting chartership recognition.

There is a competency framework that needs to be completed to become a senior

As a graduate I haven't really got a much of a chance to go up the ranks but there are opportunities to move up and fill certain roles.

So far I have experienced good career progression in terms of interesting and challenging work as well as the opportunity to for promotion to new roles

Powerco provides six monthly pay increases for its graduates. Once the graduate programme has finished, powerco provides a full-time role. It is encouraged to apply for roles within teams that you enjoy before the end of your graduate programme because when your graduate programme ends you are placed in a role that best suits the organisations needs and this may not be your preferred role.

I don't know enough yet to comment

No gradual step out of the graduate engineer role into a junior engineer, more just a larger step into a team that has an opening or likes you. Can make it a little bit daunting.

A graduate role is a full time role that transitions into a permanent full time role once the graduate role period has been completed.
