As a graduate engineer I rotate around into different teams, currently I am rotating through the protection team where I am responsible for providing relay settings. This includes carrying out load flows and fault studies and provide relay settings for application based on those studies.

Supporting and running new technology trials.

I am a graduate so I spend 12 - 15 weeks rotating through different teams. I get allocated varying tasks to undertake while in each rotation.

As a graduate, I don't have any day-to-day responsibilities. This may be helpful to have a bit more structure to my day. I have enjoyed the projects that I have been involved in. There are times when I need to find work or self-study.

Depends on current team, common things I've done include: - obtaining technical information from standards to advise/support engineers - load flow studies - protection studies - using geographic information systems - manipulating datasets in python

Currently working towards building rolling programmes of maintenance and renewal works for power assets (dist. Switchgear, ring main units, zone substation buildings.)

As a graduate I rotate through different teams every 15 weeks. At the moment it consists of completing requests for customers to connect to our network.

Currently my 2 main response ability is project managing some new trial runs and and help do some work on larger projects ( i.E data processing, report writing, or customer investigation)

Learn basic work flow processes for customer initiated works. Understand a single-line scada tile, regional feeder maps and the different voltage networks. Familiarise with software modelling tools
