Māori & Pasifika at RCP

We are committed to developing our cultural competency and fostering the employment and inclusion of Māori and Pasifika talent in our business.

RCP offers all employees the opportunity to participate in our Te Ao Māori for Professionals programme.

Our programme supports our people to authentically engage in Te Ao Māori by building cultural awareness, confidence and capability.  It provides a rich experience exploring Reo and Tikanga, using a combination of online learning and wānanga (workshops).

We provide every employee with the opportunity to engage in one-on-one coaching to improve competence and confidence in the use Te Reo by developing pepeha and engaging in karakia.

We proudly partner with the Keystone Trust to provide a scholarship and an alternate graduate pathway to RCP. Our partnership with Ngāi Tahu specifically provides Māori students with internship opportunities in Dunedin Ōtepoti and throughout Aotearoa.

Each year we celebrate Matariki and Te Wiki o te Reo Māori through a variety of national and local office events.

We work with Iwi and government clients providing expertise to support the achievement of their goals and benefit greatly from the opportunity to further our knowledge and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and Mana Whenua.

Recently, RCP won a Building Nations Social Impact Award for the collaborations with Te Aupōuri Iwi Development Trust for Puna Wai Ora and Te Hiku Drought Relief Programme.
