It’s a happy new year in Western Australia where the largest metal shredder in the state, at Sims Metal Kwinana site, is now using 100% #renewableelectricity! Moving to renewable electricity at the site will save over 3,800 tonnes of CO2e emissions every year – about the same impact as 900 local households shifting to renewable electricity. Moving to renewables is a key part of Sims Metal #decarbonisation pathway and Kwinana joins more than 30 Sims sites globally that have made the switch to 100% renewable electricity.
