There is active effort from senior/executive management about retaining and hiring more women. Lots of ethnic minorities work here and there are cultural events to celebrate diversity. There is a rainbow network and they do events as well. TP had a float in this years pride parade and was a major sponsor for the whole event.

Diversity is clearly a priority at Transpower. Stats on number of women employed are shared by the CEO every month with targets to reach a 40/40/20 ratio (40% men, 40% women, 20% either). There is also training on recognising bias, and inclusivity.
