Application Process & Interviews at Wotton Kearney

The interview process was transparent and efficient. Those who interviewed were welcoming and explained how the process was going to work. There were two interviews along with ancillary tasks such as a small chronology and case summary to complete.

I interned at the previous work then sent my CV so seamless.

- 1st interview - general introduction and a background of what the firm does. - 2nd interview - more structured on getting to know you better and what you want to be doing - Preparation of a chronology and case summary

Why I wanted to work in litigation, what was I most proud of during university, any difficult situations I had overcome, how I would manage prioritising work and general discussions about my time at university (including extra-curricular) and questions to get to know me

We went through my CV and interests and then spoke generally about the industry and kind of work they do. More of a discussion of topics than question and answer.

Why insurance law? What are your interests/hobbies

Look into why you would want to work in insurance litigation and what to expect.

Have a good idea of the company and why you want to work there (if you do). Helpful to have an answer for the general HR questions but they will be interested in why you want to join them specifically.

Have a bit of knowledge about insurance and what the function of lawyers are to insurers.
