The interview process is good

The interview process and assessments went smoothly as the interview catchup date can be confirmed as per the availability for the candidate and right after interview further recruitment process and documentation are followed up by the talent acquisition team.

Took a long time to receive outcome after interview

It was the first interview where I felt desired as an employee, they gave me plenty of information about the job and seemed to be selling it to me as much as I was selling myself to them.

Had an initial assessment, then had a virtual interview with the managers.

I didn't go through conventional hiring so can't comment about myself but this is how it is right now: 1. Online IQ testing 2. Recorded online interview 3. Phone Interview 4. Interview with hiring manager

Interviews and done in person - panel interview. Assessment criteria is based entirely on the field applied/sorted listed for, as interviews are conducted by direct divisional heads/leads. Questions are general and basics for the job, especially when interviewing as a graduate.

It was a very succinct process with seamless transitions from the initial phone call to the interview process to the offer of employment. Having the option of doing the interview through Microsoft Teams was great living interstate at the time of the interview.

The interview process was good, it did feel like the process took a bit longer than expected.

I got an interview because I got my now managers number from a guy I knew at uni. I feel it would be hard getting a spot in Stantec without already knowing someone. I was brought in for an interview and they were more casual which was nice, it felt like just having a chat. I did not have to do any assessments, though I know other businesses within the company do numerical, verbal, abstract, reasoning and personality tests.

I underwent one interview in person when I was hired as an undergrad, and it was a very good experience that made me feel like I was in the right place. I supplied my university transcript and didn't have to undergo any other assessments before I started working.

Interview process has 3 phases including: online assessment, phone screening, and finally face-to-face interview with the team leaders. The interview process to me was a good experience, understanding each and every step was crucial for the company to filter out the most suitable candidates for the advertised role!

Don't remember the process too much. For myself I had a connection in the company in another department so for me was just the one interview and coming in for a week to experience the company before joining full time.

The interview process was smooth but I went around the standard hiring process. The grad competencies seem a little overkill but somewhat reasonable

I couldn't remember all questions asked but have few here which I could remember. 1. What sort of work/role/experience I had from my previous company? 2. Qualification as I am having oversea qualification. 3. My work rights and visa condition.

I was asked on stuff I stated on my CV. Few questions were on lab testing, which they wanted to see if I knew how to do the tests. Others were general question of geology and engineering geology.

I would say just be confident and be open to share your thoughts related to job experience, interest and your life goal.

Be prepared to talk about sometime you made a mistake and how you responded to it

Learn about recent projects, understand the company structure and be confident.

Have on your CV what you know. Don't put unnecessary stuff to make your cv look good.

just be yourself! Do some research on the Stantec as a company (to make sure it is a company you want to join but to also show the interviewers that you have prepared for the interview).

Don't be nervous always say you are happy to learn new things.

Be approachable, be yourself. Research the company and the teams, the website shows different projects that the businesses do so you can get an idea of the type of work you're being interviewed for. Put all experiences on your resumes, especially leadership, teamwork, time management, and difficult conversations.

get some internships and increase GPA as high as possible.

I would suggest the candidates who is applying to understand the business's culture.

Just be yourself and don't stress too much. So long as you are a team player and willing to learn and ask questions you will do very well.

Generic interview prep

Practice, practice, practice... Everything comes down to practice. Also prepare yourself very well prior to the assessment test. Take every chance to do the practice test before jumping in the real one.

Actively participate in university activities and go to networking or socializing events.

Be relaxed and look into the company and what they do, particularly the department you're applying for. Ask questions and show you're curious and demonstrate your soft skills

Look up the role you are applying to and find out some information of what they would be tasked with. Go on linkd in and look at some of the employees and their experience to get a feel of what they do.

Be honest with what you are looking for, ask questions about what the day in the life of a consultant may look like. Having a willingness to learn and grow and be adaptable to your environment will stand you in better stead than having a whole list of non-transferable skills. Bringing a good energy and positive attitude to the team will likely land you a job over someone with lots of experience but no teamwork skills or social skills. This is specific to the Environmental Rehab team as we do a substantial amount of field work with only two people who go away together for anything from 4-15 days at a time, so it is so important to have someone who will be easy to get along with in a social setting.
