Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and welcoming, no matter where they sit in the organizational hierarchy. There are also a lot of social events that provide the opportunity to get to know your colleagues on a more personal level. This is beneficial when starting projects with different teams, because you have already built up a level of trust and respect.

Every person, no matter the level on the hierarchy have shown understanding, respect and unity in relation to diversity and inclusion. We have a diversity and inclusion council and employee resource groups (4 or 5 I believe) that are available for staff to join to be involved in the areas of diversity they wish to help grow and support.

Day-to-day work varies which keeps it interesting

They make time and are good across the board, the high management care about people and do their best to make time. It is easy to find colleagues who are willing to help you and mentor you. One-on-ones happen regularly and involve feedback and recognition where applicable.

It depends on the office and the contract. Head office has nicer facilities, whereas operations depot has smaller kitchens etc. If in head office, the dress code is more formal. Still, it's not that strict. Smart casual is acceptable.

There was a technical assessment interview, a video interview and an assessment centre

Pay seems slightly below standard rates, though I do know that there is a focus on bringing earlier career staff more in line with the standard paygrade. However, I would rather early my current salary and have a healthy work-life balance, then extra money and be expected to work extra hours constantly. Main bonuses are based upon companies financial and safety performance.

The grad program has invested a lot of time and money into Development Weeks, which have been great so far for general skills, communication, etc. Local training specific to the job is sometimes a bit more lacking.

I work 7hrs 30 mins per day, usually 9am-5pm. Usually this is flexible as you can start earlier or later if wanted as long you complete your work and/or hours. Additionally, there is flexibility to work from home which is great for removing commuting time each day

The company promotes this as its main mission statement and from the projects I have worked on I can see that Veolia performs projects that achieves this
