As mentioned, the workplace culture at DXC is one of the best things about working for this company. Being a young professional coming straight out of University can be very daunting; however, this was not the case while being a part of the grad program at DXC. Some reason why the DXC culture is exemplary is due to: Inclusivity and Diversity: DXC fosters an environment where individuals of all backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences feel welcome, heard, and respected. This diversity doesn't merely exist on paper but is actively encouraged, creating a richer tapestry of ideas, innovation, and collaboration. We have many programs such as our Māori and Pacific Peoples Program which not only promote IT as a viable career path but help provide education and cultural awareness to our staff. DXC makes an effort to celebrate all cultures, such as through Diwali, Matariki, Global Diversity Awareness Week and Language Weeks. Mentorship: Not only graduates but all new joiners are paired up with an onboarding buddy. To dive deeper into what a buddy looks like for a new graduate, the new graduate is allocated a graduate in the same/similar role. this buddy not only teaches the new graduate the ropes of what the role entails and trains them, but also works as a mentor and a support person for both professional and personal questions. Having someone who has gone through the same process and journey provides insights into what the job looks like in the future. I am now a buddy to other new graduates and I can pass on any learnings I had while going through the graduate program. Empowerment: DXC encourages employees to make decisions, take ownership of their work, and contribute meaningfully. There is always support to explore different areas of the IT industry to find a role that is most fitting to what you want to pursue in your career.

LGBTIQA+ friendly, there are a few groups and recourses available, we have programs or pacific peoples and advocate for more awareness and celebrate difference cultures. Everything has been good, and extremely diverse. I cannot comment on these things as this is not relevant to me or I have had no experience in this recruitment, retention, promotion, child care, maternity leave,

No day is ever the same. My responsibilities range from both back-end and front-end work. Depending on what I am trying to achieve whether it's getting new business or retaining old, I am either spending time researching, writing tender responses and building up account plans, or I am in front of customers building relationships.

The management at DXC is outstanding. All the managers I have come across have their staffs best interest at heart and always want them to progress in their career development. For me personally, the greatest thing about DXC is that regardless of seniority, everyone treats each other the same. You can have a conversation with anyone, there is no hierarchical status that gets in the way of approaching or asking questions to anyone.

I like the DXC office. We tend to sit in teams; however, this is not mandated and all staff can sit where they wish. We are located right in the heart of the CBD with lots of shops/cafes around. Transport to the office is easy for everyone as buses stop almost right outside alongside the car parks we have available in the building itself. DXC has a very casual dress code. Although this somewhat differs to the role you have within the organisation and if you are customer-facing or not, everyone is encouraged to wear what they see fit. I like to dress formally as I am customer-facing and never know when I may need to see someone; however, some people wear hoodies/shorts to the office. Alike a lot of other companies we do have casual Fridays.

The interview/assessment process was well executed by DXC. It began with submitting your CV to the company. From there you were selected to take a personal assessment where scenarios would be shown to you and your response would be assessed given the scenario. The next step was to attend the presentation/interview activity where you would be placed into groups with other people who had applied for the company graduate program and taken part in a group presentation that explained your IT solution to a certain situation. After the presentation, you are broken off into one-on-one (or two) interviews with a lead of the company and your field of selection.

Pay is good for a graduate program.

DXC provides an exceptional training regime. They provide a service called DXC Learning which has a vast number of courses for individuals to learn from. At the same time your first day of work, you will be provided an organized onboarding training program where you will see the schedule of what topics or styles of work you will be learning each week.

My company is very flexible. I can come in at any time as long as I finish my 8 hours, and not miss any important meetings. I usually come in at 9:30 AM and finish at 5:30-6:30 PM, with a lunch break in between. I never feel attacked or pressured or criticized for coming in a few minutes late. I can also leave for a few hours if I have a doctor's appointment, or leave a couple of hours early if I have a flight to catch up without having to do a process that's anything formal and tedious. As long as I achieve what I have to do during those 8 hours then I'm usually all good. Leave is also easy to acquire and use we as employees are encouraged to take leave which is amazing.

We usually join clean-up drives, reusable items in the office, etc.
